Rosedene was designed by Blake Hopkinson Architects as a private new build for the Rose family. Envisioned to be a modern take on a traditional, stone-built detached home, the finished property in Holywell is one of the finest examples of contemporary residential design in the local area.
Although completely constructed as a new build home, the property gives the impression of age and character thanks to the architectural design balancing a number of more contemporary touches to the rear exterior. The design replicates a Northumbrian, stone-built farmhouse and the 6300 sq ft home features all the modern conveniences of a new build property including underfloor heating, intelligent wiring and audio systems.
The property features a private gated entrance leading to a courtyard and a stone built detached double garage with roof storage space. The extensive interior space at Rosedene is complemented by land of around half an acre and the property has been opened up at the rear with a kitchen, dining and lounge area featuring floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors for an alfresco dining space.
The interior space has been expertly styled by the Rose family and was sold in 2019 as they begin their new residential project on the North Shields Fish Quay. Blake Hopkinson Architects are also designing the new family home, a conversion of a former industrial unit to be part contemporary family home and part new design studio for their jewellery and accessories business, Tutti & Co.
