Silverbirch Wins National Award
We’re always delighted when a scheme we have been involved in receives recognition on the national stage and today is no exception. Silverbirch, a shared ownership scheme designed by Blake Hopkinson Architects and constructed by Galliford Try Partnerships on behalf of Riverside, has won a Gold award in the prestigious First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards 2018!
The shared ownership housing development came out top in the Best New Development in the North category in an award voted for by readers of First Time Buyer magazine.
Held in London, the ceremony was attended by representatives from Riverside Home Ownership and Development and Growth who collected the award on behalf of this pioneering scheme.
Silverbirch offers 40 properties near Newcastle designed to bolster accessibility to new build homes for first time buyers in the market. The development features two bedroom bungalows and two and three bedroom houses under a shared ownership scheme through Riverside Home Ownership (RHO)
The high specification interior finish and quality construction allows first time buyers to access properties offering the financial flexibility to own a home but designed and built to meet modern standards.
This formal recognition of Silverbirch as one of the region’s best new housing developments for first time buyers is even more signifcant when its considered that votes were cast by readers of First Time Buyer magazine. A sure sign that first time buyers appreciate the quality and style of properties available at Silverbirch.
Strong working partnerships at all levels of a building project produce quality housing design and that was certainly the case at Silverbirch. We would like to take this opportunity to offer our congratulations to Riverside for leading on this pioneering scheme and of course Galliford Try Partnership North and our fantastic team at Blake Hopkinson Architecture for delivering such an important housing development for the North East.
